The HAN University of Applied Sciences has its acronym as HAN. It is delighted to offer HAN Merit Scholarship to pursue English-taught bachelor’s course for 2018 intake.

The aim of the scholarships is to reward academic excellence and merit.

The HAN University of Applied Sciences is a vocational university of applied sciences. It has its campuses in Arnhem and Nijmegen in the Netherlands.

Nationality: Students from outside the EEA can apply

Level of study: undergraduate degree

Subject areas: English-taught Bachelor’s course

Scholarship Value: it would provide € 2,500

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Applicants must have previous education and additional assignments
  • Applicants must have previous year degree
  • Applicants must have:
  1. an IELTS score of at least 6.5
  2. a TOEFL iBT score of at least 90 or
  3. a Cambridge Certificate of Advanced English (C1)

  • Curriculum Vitae
  • The applicant should provide a motivation letter in which it should be explained why he/she will be a successful HAN student
  • A short video of himself/herself of max. 3 minutes should be made. The video should address the following:
  1. Description of the candidate and the areas in which he considers himself to excel.
  2. If the applicant´s former teachers or friends would like to tell something about him/her, it should be shot and included
  3. The applicant in the video should tell about the chosen course of study at HAN and why that choice has been made
  4. The applicant should explain based on his/her personality and/or experience what role would he/she like to have and why if it was a team work
  5. The applicant should explain the career ambitions and, professionally speaking, what and where will he/she be in 10 years from now?
