Western Governors University (WGU) is pleased to announce a scholarship program named as “Mark Bonin Memorial Scholarship”. Applications are open WGU student enrolling in a bachelor’s or master’s degree in WGU’s College of Health Professions. The mission of the university is to provide a fundamentally sound, research-based approach to teaching that directly and positively affects student learning.
Western Governors University (WGU) is a private, nonprofit, online American university based in Salt Lake City, Utah. The university uses a competency-based learning model, with students working online.
To receive the Mark Bonin Memorial Scholarship, a recipient must:
- Be a resident of one of the following Southern California counties: Imperial, Kern, Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, San Diego, San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, or Ventura.
- Be a new WGU student enrolling in a bachelor’s or master’s degree in WGU’s College of Health Professions.
- Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
- Be officially admitted to WGU and within 60 days of your start date (either before or after).
