Applications are invited for a Research Associate in Cancer Biomarker Discovery post within the Nanomedicine Laboratory at the University of Manchester, as part of the Pioneer award, funded by CRUK. The post is available immediately and will be tenable on a fixed term basis for 24 months.

We seek a skilled Research Associate, with experience in studies using preclinical tumour disease models (including their establishment and maintenance), to join the Nanomedicine Lab. You should be the holder of an active Home Office Animals (Scientific Procedures) Act 1986 Personal Licence. Demonstrable previous experience in Mass Spectrometry data analysis is desirable. You should be able to interact effectively with researchers from a range of backgrounds, in order to contribute to an interdisciplinary programme of research. A basic understanding of cancer biology will be necessary, and some knowledge of nanotechnology will be advantageous.

You should hold a PhD in Pharmacology, Physiology, Pharmacy, Biology or Medicine

or equivalent. Evidence of a developing research publication track record would be advantageous.
