A vacancy has arisen for a postdoctoral position in the Manchester Cancer Research Centre and the Stoller Biomarker Discovery Centre. Manchester Cancer Research Centre comprehensively covers all aspects of cancer research and is one of Cancer Research UK’s major centres. The Stoller Centre is the largest clinical proteomics centre in Europe with 15 mass spectrometers and state of the art immunoassay equipment, we seek a person with mass spectrometry/proteomics skills to use the facility effectively in cancer related projects. This will include biomarker discovery and disease mechanism research (see for example Nature 2016 534 341-6). Experience in proteogenomics would be an advantage but is not necessary.
