The scope of the search includes condensed matter analogues of axions as well the particle physics around axions and their cosmological implications. Candidates with interest in experimental design are also encouraged to apply. This position is the first in several appointments that are expected to be made by Frank Wilczek, with the goal to build a world leading research activity related to axions. The funding is provided by the European Research Council under the Advanced Grant Program and the Swedish National Research Council.
