The Department of Network and Systems Engineering consists of about 30 faculty members, researchers and Ph.D. students who contribute to a high professional standard of intensive work and quality results, as well as to a friendly and open environment. The staff has a multicultural background and the working language is English. We are an internationally recognized department investigating most aspects of Networks, Computer and Wireless Networking, Internet of Things, Security and Privacy, and Management of Projects, Systems and Services. Our research spans from theoretical to experimental approaches. We maintain collaborations worldwide with leading universities and major industrial partners.
We are currently looking for up to two Post Docs. Our research projects will support these Research Associates within the areas of Optimization Theory and Machine Learning over networks with applications to Internet of Things, Wireless Networks, Cyber Physical Systems.

Candidates should have a PhD (or be near completion) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Sciences, Mathematics or related field.
The successful applicants should have an outstanding research documented by top-technical journal publications. We are looking for strongly motivated candidates, who are able to work independently and cooperate with PhD students. Well-developed analytical and problem solving skills are a requirement. Good command of English orally and in writing is required to present and publish research results. The successful candidates may be involved for about 20% of their employment time in management of research projects. The availability to be involved in PhD course teaching for about 5% of the employment time is a plus.
