Postdoc Position: Mathematics, KTH, Sweden: KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm has grown to become one of Europe’s leading technical and engineering universities, as well as a key centre of intellectual talent and innovation. Job description

The research group in Random matrix theory, stochastic models and analysis, within the group in Differential geometry and mathematical physics, at the Department of Mathematics is offering up to three two-year post-doctoral positions. The positions are financed by grants from the Knut and Alice Wallenberg Foundation and the Swedish Research Council (VR). The main duty is research within the field of the group or related areas. A limited amount of teaching may be part of the duties. Two of the positions are with Kurt Johansson as mentor, and one is with Kevin Schnelli.

The positions are time limited, full time, two-year postdoc positions starting July 1, 2018 or later.

Qualifications

A PhD degree, awarded (or planned to be awarded before the commencement of the position) in mathematics or related areas is a requirement. Candidates cannot have their PhD degrees from KTH. We seek a candidate with a strong background in parts of mathematics relevant to the research activity of the group. The successful applicant should be strongly motivated, have the capability to work independently as well as in collaboration with members of the research group, and have good communication skills. No skills in Swedish are required.
