£26495 to £32548 per annum (pro-rata if applicable) depending on skills and experience (minimum £29799 with relevant PhD)

The Division of Epidemiology and Public Health have been a awarded a grant from the Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation to study the treatment and outcomes of people with lung cancer using linked national UK data sources. This project is evaluating how patient-reported experiences of health care are related to improved outcomes in lung cancer.

The successful candidate will have a postgraduate degree in a relevant discipline and be proficient in the use of statistical software, together with previous experience of analysing health data. 

The post will be based in the Division of Epidemiology and Public Health on City Hospital campus.

This post is available immediately with a start date no later than 01 April 2018 and is fixed-term until 31 December 2019.

Hours of work are full-time, however applications are also welcome from candidates wishing to work part-time (minimum 29 hours per week). Please specify in your application if you wish to work part-time and the number of preferred hours. Job share arrangements may be considered for this post.
