1st semester
  • Materials Technology
  • Physical Chemistry of Materials
  • Materials Chemistry
  • Processing of Materials
2nd semester
  • Industrial applications of macromolecules
  • Polymer chemistry
  • Supramolecular chemistry
  • Carbohydrate chemistry
3rd semester

Specialisation in Inorganic Materials, Controlled Release, Functional Polymers and Solid-seperation.

  • Individual semester

The purpose of this semester is to develop your ability to work in the different fields of materials technology and chemical engineering, e.g. the preparation, synthesis, characterisation, improvement, modification, post-treatment, development and application of materials, and optimisation of the production processes. This semester provides you with a solid theoretical basis and experiences for a successful accomplishment of the Master’s thesis.

During the third semester, you work on the project at a high level in each of the above-mentioned four areas of specialization.

4th semester
  • Master’s thesis in Chemistry

Academic Requirements

If you wish to enroll in this Master’s program in Chemistry , you must have one of the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry
  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering
  • Bachelor’s degree Biotechnology

Students with another Bachelor’s degree may upon application to the Board of Studies be admitted following a specific academic assessment if the applicant is considered as having comparable educational prerequisites. The Study Board will evaluate all students before entering the program. The evaluation includes transfer of credits from previous studies, as well as possible needs for additional training.
