The Master’s Program in Industrial Systems Analytics (ISA) offered by the University of Vaasa includes data science and analytics, quality engineering, systems engineering, decision support, project management and industrial project work. The program has close cooperation with hightech companies in the Vaasa region, the biggest energy cluster in the Nordic countries.
By completing the program you will be able to produce knowledge and insights from energy system data, develop, design and operate high quality standards for industrial operations and systems. In addition, you will learn how to include quantitative and qualitative input streams for decision making, and plan and manage projects in the energy field.
The orientation of the program is complex industrial systems and it is applicable especially in for example energy sector companies, research centres and regional development organisations. Applicants are eligible to apply for admission to the Master’s Program if they have completed an appropriate B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in technology in the fields such as Industrial or Systems engineering.
Structure of the Industrial Systems Analytics (ISA) programme:

- Technology Studies
- Industrial Project Work
- Major Studies (Modules in Major Studies and Master’s Thesis)
- Optional Studies
1. a Bachelor’s degree (3-4 years) in an appropriate field outside Finland or
2. a university level Bachelor’s (or Master’s) degree in an appropriate field in Finland or
3. a polytechnic level Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate field in Finland.
The appropriate fields include e.g. Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering or similar engineering field.
First Year Scholarship – University of Vaasa Global Student Scholarship
Each Master’s program will provide one 100% tuition fee waiver to the best ranked tuition fee subjected student based on the previous academic merits reviewed during application process.
Each Master’s program will provide five 50% tuition fee waivers to the second, third, fourth, fifth and sixth best ranked tuition fee subjected students based on the previous academic merits reviewed during application process.
Second Year Scholarship – University of Vaasa Global Student Award for Academic Excellence
Every student completing the expected and required number of credits during the first year gets automatically a 50% tuition fee waiver.
