During the Master’s program in Nanomaterials and Nanophysics offered by Aalborg University you will learn how nanotechnology can be used to develop new optic and electronic components and new materials for use in communications technology, sensor technology or catalysis. Furthermore, you will gain insight into the possibilities, issues and challenges that engineers within nanotechnology are faced with on a day-to-day basis.

This is a full-time study program, which is characterised by problem based project work in groups. You will be working closely with other students most of the time, and you are required to be present at the university on a daily basis and spend a vast majority of your day there.

Academic Requirements

In order to enroll in the program, you need a Bachelor’s degree in one of the following fields:

  • natural sciences
  • materials science

Furthermore, it is recommended to have a solid background in physics.

Each applicant will receive individual assessment by the Study Board in charge of the Nanotechnology program at Aalborg University.
