About

MD ADVANCED (Medicine) program is a part of the 6- year program. destined for the university/college graduates of the pre-medical studies with the BSc degree minimum. Students are transferred directly to the 3rd year of the 6MD program, The duration of the program – 4 years.It is a full time study program tailor-made especially for those university students from USA, Canada, Taiwan or American type universities in other countries, who completed the pre-medical programs and obtained at least the BSc degree.

Program Structure

Program consists of:

1st and 2nd years – basic knowledge – learning achievements transferred from the previous pre-medical education, especially in the prerequisite subjects as described in the admission requirements for the Advanced MD program.

3rd and 4th  years pre-clinical – basic subjects : anatomy, biochemistry, biophysics, physiology, histology and cell biology, microbiology, pathomorphology, pharmacology  and others

5th and 6th year clinical subjects such as: internal medicine, pediatrics, surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, psychiatry, radiology, family medicine, neurology, oncology & palliative care, otolaryngology, ophthalmology, infectious diseases and others.

Academic Requirements

MD Advance – for college/university graduates

The 4-year MD curriculum, as a part of the 6- year program, is tailor-made for those university students from USA, Canada, Taiwan or American universities  in other countries, who meet the following admission criteria:

Chemistry/general(I and  II)8 creditsincl.lab.Chemistry/organic(I and  II)8 creditsincl.lab.Biology(I and  II)8 creditsincl.lab.Physics(I and  II)8 creditsincl.lab.(8 credits are equal to one year of studies)

Humanistic and sociological courses – All together – 9 credits

Each candidate should demonstrate completion of pre-medical program minimum at the level of BSc degree.

Candidates with the MCAT result minimum: OLD- 27, NEW-504, GAMSAT minimum 59, UKCAT minimum 2600, DAT minimum 17 are exempted from examining the knowledge of Biology, Chemistry and Physics being a part of the university entrance exam.
Candidates who did not take those exams or received the lower results will sit the entire Skype entrance exam verifying knowledge in Biology, Chemistry and Physics (1st year university level).

If the pre-medical studies were not conducted in English, the English knowledge certificate is required, such as CAE, CPE, TOEFL IBT (minimum 75 points)), IELTS (min 6.0) points.

The command of English of candidates who cannot present any of above certificates will be assessed during the entrance exam.
