This Organic Agriculture program at Wageningen University and Research has been designed to train students in multiple aspects of organic agriculture and the associated processing and marketing chain. An important goal is to prepare for interdisciplinary teamwork at an academic level.

Well-rounded and holistic program.This study is unique in that it combines detailed consideration of the underlying principles and processes from a natural science perspective with social and economic studies. Creative thinking is required to design new sustainable farming and marketing systems instead of simply optimising existing systems. The program has an international character which uses case-studies and offers project opportunities in both the developed and developing world.

Academic Requirements

Specific admission requirement for the MSc Organic Agriculture is a bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Sciences, Social Sciences, Biology, Economics or related fields.

General requirements for enrolment in an MSc Program at Wageningen University:

  • Grade Point Average (GPA) for this BSc of at least 70% of the maximum grade
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken
  • Good skills in mathematics and/or statistics
  • Basic computer skills
